E4 parallel road between Öjebyn and Norrfjärden

This project involves the construction of a new parallel road along the E4 motorway between Öjebyn and Norrfjärden. The aim of this major infrastructure project is to improve traffic flow and safety on one of the busiest roads in the region.

The project is being carried out using a combination of technologies and traditional construction methods to achieve the high standards of quality, sustainability and environmental protection. Work stages and techniques for the construction of the parallel road:

• Wood piling is carried out to stabilise the ground and ensure the durability of the road.
• A 2000mm migration barrier is being installed to protect both road users and wildlife.
• Excavation works and road construction are being carried out to prepare the ground and build the road foundations.
• Paving work is underway with high-quality asphalt to create a durable and smooth road.
• Installation of modern road lighting is underway to improve safety along the road.

The project is progressing according to plan and is expected to improve infrastructure and road safety in the area once completed.
