The installation company Install in northern Sweden acquires the majority of the shares in Power Construction AB. This is part of its plan to offer complete solutions in power installations throughout Sweden.
Install has had a steep development curve since its inception in 2016 and Power Construction continues that journey. Growth has so far been about developing the existing operations in the two business areas of Electricity and Fibre. Power Construction, whose business delivers complete solutions in land and construction services, complements our offering in a good way. Power Construction has solid experience in the industry with its seven employees whose combined experience in the switchgear industry amounts to 25 years.

Install acquires Elteleteknik i Umeå AB
Norrland installation company Install is expanding. Earlier this autumn, Opteno was acquired in Jämtland and now Install is also growing in Västerbotten. This is done through the acquisition of the fibre company Elteleteknik i Umeå AB. With the acquisition, Install can increase capacity and offer more fibre and electrical installations throughout northern Sweden.

Install acquires fibre installation company
Northern installation company Install is acquiring fibre specialists Opteno in Östersund as part of its plan to offer local fibre and electrical installers across northern Sweden.

For Opteno, the deal means new opportunities where the company's experience and expertise are utilised through new exciting business opportunities.

The timing of the deal is also particularly appropriate for Install as it recently won the contract to build a local interconnection network in Jämtland for the broadband provider IP-Only. A project that amounts to a value of just over SEK 40 million.

Install signs major deal with telecoms giant IP-Only
The large-scale broadband provider IP-Only has chosen the installation company Install from Norrland as the contractor for the assignment to build a local interconnection network in Jämtland.
IP-Only, which was named Sweden's best open network in 2017, has invested SEK 13 billion in broadband expansion in Sweden and will invest billions more in the future. Almost SEK 800 million of this will have been invested in Jämtland. The Swedish Post and Telecom Authority's new report on broadband rollout showed that IP-Only is investing the most of all players in fibre rollout, and the only one to increase investment.
Sebastian Hellström, Operations Manager at Install Fiber, says: "We have worked with IP-Only before and it has worked really well. Among other things, we carried out an extensive broadband expansion in Norrbotten together, so this assignment suits us perfectly.
Turnkey contract
The assignment is run as a turnkey contract, which means that Install is responsible for everything from design, permit management, implementation and final documentation before handing over the finished solution to the customer. It is an extensive assignment as the planned shaft alone amounts to more than eleven miles.

The project, which will start in August and run until the end of the year, is worth just over SEK 40 million.
Install establishes new office in Umeå
Northern installation company Install is establishing a new office in Umeå where it will primarily offer installation services in electricity.
- We have been following developments in Umeå for a long time and know that there is an interesting and expansive market. It's always important for us to find a strong local base for our establishment, and this has meant that we've had to search a long time for the right person. Now we have carried out a very strong recruitment and therefore choose to open up this autumn," says Jan Fransson, CEO of Install with satisfaction.
Install has been recognised in the media on several occasions for its work on major construction projects, such as the installation work for the construction of Europe's largest wind farm in Markbygden and most recently for LKAB, SSAB and Vattenfall's test facility in the HYBRIT initiative.
Mr Fransson continues:
- We have chosen not to announce our new operations manager for the Umeå office yet due to his current employment. Now it remains for us to recruit a number of skilled electricians and project managers to the office.
The new office will open in September.
Norrländska Install builds broadband for Telia
Install, an installation company based in northern Sweden, has signed an agreement with Telia to complete a major broadband project in Persöfjärden, Jämtön and Hertsölandet. The work will be carried out by Install as another party has started the construction work but failed to complete it.
- "After last year's project, we are pleased to have renewed confidence in Telia. Signing new business with another national customer shows that we are working in the right way," says Sebastian Hellström, Operations Manager at Install.
The project, which is a large one, will be finalised by the end of 2019 after the achievement of a number of milestones.

Install in major new deal with telecoms giant IP-Only
Since autumn 2017, Install has been commissioned to build broadband networks in northern Sweden for the major broadband provider IP-Only. It has proved to be a successful collaboration, and IP-Only has now chosen to sign a further agreement with the installation company in northern Sweden worth SEK 50 million.
- "Our co-operation has worked really well. We will now continue together to contribute to the broadband expansion in Norrbotten," says a satisfied Sebastian Hellström, Operations Manager at Install.
IP-Only, which was named Sweden's best open network in 2017, has the ambition to invest SEK 15 billion in broadband expansion up to and including 2020, almost half of which will be in rural areas. The continued assignments in Norrbotten will begin in May 2019 and end in the first half of 2020.

Skellefteå office opened
Our office at Mullberget in Skellefteå is now up and running. Five local Install colleagues have been recruited and have already started carrying out installation assignments.
Jan Fransson, CEO, says: "It's exciting to open an office in such an interesting market as Skellefteå. The region is characterised by high growth, which should mean a great need for installation services.
Full speed ahead in the office
The office couldn't have got off to a better start either. The newly appointed site manager, Jimmy Lestander, says: "We have started by focusing on our fibre offering and recruited four talented fibre technicians. They have been busy from day one.
Jimmy continues: "We need to meet the demand that exists, which means that we need to recruit additional fibre technicians and also a project manager. Our plan is to hire the same number of employees before the end of the year."
The new Skellefteå office means that the business continues to grow. It is now represented in both Norrbotten and Västerbotten with an organisation consisting of over 70 employees.
Fransson concludes: "The office is an important part of our offer as we want to offer skilled and local installers who are close to our customers.
Install's offer is now growing in Luleå
We are now growing further in Luleå together with well-known electrician Niklas Rönnlund from Luleå Elektriska. This means that we are strengthening our Install office in Luleå with a lot of expertise and also broadening our offer in renewable energy.
Through Niklas and previously recruited Dan Boman, we can now offer long experience of service, repair and new installations of electricity for industry, offices and hotels / restaurants and private individuals, but also sharp expertise in lighting technology, charging stations (electric cars) and solar cell systems.
Install opens office in Luleå
The new company, Install Fiber AB, will focus on the growing market for the expansion of broadband fibre networks. With synergies with its Piteå operations, it will be able to offer end-to-end solutions with project planning, expansion of communication networks and installations.
- "There is a lot of market here with the major expansion of the fibre network that has been decided and the increasing need for communications," says Jan Fransson, owner and CEO of Install.
Install Nordic in Piteå is an electrical installation company that is now complemented by a company specialising in fibre networks.
- "We have the entire chain from start to finish when it comes to expanding fibre networks. We're counting on more major assignments at the moment and expect to grow in Piteå too," says Jan Fransson.
The new company is recruiting staff and by August will have around 10 people. By then, less than a year will have passed since the parent company was established in Piteå. It now has 32 employees.
At the time of the merger in May, HK Fiberteknik had two employees.
