E-house in Björkdalsgruvan - robust construction, ready for operation

Install has delivered and installed an E-house at the Björkdal mine - a robust and climate-adapted solution that can withstand snow zone 3.5 and ensure year-round operations. The project is the result of close co-operation with the customer and combines sustainable construction, energy-efficient insulation and modern technology to create a safe working environment and stable electricity supply in one of the region's most important mines.

Last week, we at Install delivered and installed a new E-house at the Björkdal mine. The project is the result of close and constructive co-operation with the customer, where we have together developed a solution that meets both current and future needs. Our goal has been to create a safe, energy-efficient and sustainable solution that can withstand the tough conditions in northern Sweden.

The E-house is specially adapted for the northern climate and can withstand snow zone 3.5. The building measures 10 x 2.6 metres with a height of up to 3 metres. The frame is made of robust steel, while the walls and roof are made of sandwich panels with 100 mm insulation to ensure energy efficiency and protection against cold. The floor is fitted with electrically conductive Tarkett IQ Granit, and the roof is a pent roof and downpipes for efficient drainage. The exterior of the module is finished in blue-grey RAL 7031, providing both durability and a stylish look.

Inside, the E-house is equipped with modern LED lighting, electric radiators with thermostat and a ventilation system with both supply and exhaust air to create a safe and comfortable working environment. The door is made of steel and meets high safety requirements. The electrical installation includes several wall sockets, safety switches and a high-capacity electrical centre to meet the needs of the mine. Everything is installed and tested according to current electrical safety standards.

With this delivery, we contribute to safe and stable operations at the mine, while demonstrating the strength of local commitment and technical expertise. We thank Björkdalsgruvan for the confidence and look forward to continued good cooperation. Would you like to know more about the project or our solutions? Please contact us! Install supports Ukraine through refurbishment of backup power plants

Install has been honourably commissioned by Svenska kraftnät to participate in the support to Ukraine by refurbishing diesel backup power plants. As part of Sweden's aid efforts, 13 backup power plants will be sent to Ukraine to strengthen the country's energy supply.

This decision is a direct action and not part of a larger package, according to Sweden's Energy Minister Ebba Busch (KD). The decision was taken after Svenska kraftnät contacted the government, resulting in the third shipment of backup power plants now being prepared for delivery to Ukraine.

The back-up power plants supplied to Ukraine are particularly important for maintaining critical societal functions such as hospitals, water treatment plants, and communication systems. By providing a reliable source of energy, these facilities can continue to operate even during times when the regular electricity grid is unavailable. This is crucial to reduce humanitarian distress and to maintain social order in vulnerable areas.

"It is a great honour that we, with our experience and expertise in the energy and power sector, have the opportunity to contribute to Ukraine's struggle to maintain critical societal functions by delivering and refurbishing backup power plants. It feels incredibly meaningful to know that our work can make such a tangible difference in people's lives, especially in such a difficult and vulnerable situation as Ukraine is in." Says Jan Fransson, CEO Install

Install is a leading supplier of complete solutions in land and construction, energy, electrical power and communication. Install is certified according to ISO 9001, ISO 14001 and ISO 45001. Install AB currently has around 260 employees and operates in nine locations in Sweden and Norway.
